Redfish Fishing the fertile waters of the Louisiana marsh
From early October through late December, the Shallow Water Expeditions crew can be found fishing the fertile waters of the Louisiana marsh.
We target the entire east side of the Mississippi river delta, from the Biloxi marsh south to Venice. Come take one of our guided fishing charters in Louisiana and experience one of the last untouched fisheries in the continental United States.
This area is undisputedly the BEST red fishing in the world! This maze of wilderness marshland is covered by only inches of water – the perfect habitat for the millions of Red Fish and Black Drum that call the delta home. The quality found nowhere else that defines Louisiana’s fishery is the size of fish! Shots of fish in the 20-30 lb. range are a legitimate expectation each day, with the very real possibility of catching fish in the 40 lb. class.
