Sandestin Florida Fishing
The Sandestin area, located between Destin and 30A corridor, provides first rate redfish fishing among other saltwater catches. Sandestin Beach Resort has been located at the heart of the Destin and 30A Florida area for almost 50 years and is responsible for this “zones” name.
Fishing around the Sandestin area is primarily done in Choctawhatchee Bay. The Sandestin resort has a marina on Choctawhatchee Bay and fishing clients are sometimes picked up from the Baytown Marina for fishing in the Choctawhatchee Bay. Redfish is one of the main target species when fishing in this area, and Spanish mackerel, bluefish, sea trout, and jack crevalle are a few of the other species that can be found here. For excellent Florida beach fishing, Sandestin also fronts the Gulf on the south side of this area. There is no launching from the beach, but our guide will frequently fish off the beaches of the Sandestin resort for jack crevalle, cobs, and other Gulf species.
